How to Play Junk in Golf
Birdies, eagles, sandies, barkies — every flash of brilliance earns a dot.
What is Junk?
Junk racks up "dots" for every player across the round — some auto-detected from your score against par, some tagged live by the scorekeeper for a specific kind of good shot.
Birdies and eagles score positive dots automatically; double bogeys and three-putts cost you one. Greenies, sandies, barkies, and chippies are tagged by hand as they happen, and each one only counts if you made par or better on that hole — flash without the score to back it up doesn't score.
How scoring works
- Birdie: +1, eagle or better: +2 — auto-detected from score vs. par.
- Double bogey or worse: −1, three-putt: −1 — also automatic.
- Greenie, sandy, barkie, chippie: +1 each — tagged by the scorekeeper, only if you made par or better that hole.
- Net dots settle pairwise, at the stakes amount per dot.
Scoring example
One player's round, $1 a dot.
